After fourteen years of running a health care communications company for TV viewers and big city clients, I moved to a small, lake-side town near Jackson, Michigan. It was plenty relaxing, but having no formal job, I got a little restless and decided to apply what I had learned about the media to help small businesses in my new community. Some just needed better exposure to their local customers. Shown below are four ways I assisted. Graphic design is not my forte, but I did the best I could. I was better with TV spot advertising and Christmas promotion. The work kept me busy for the next five years.
