I recruited a dozen physicians in each of ten different cities to function as on-camera TV reporters in their own media markets. The doctors were all specialists, e.g., cardiologists, urologists, etc. They helped with content, but I wrote the scripted reports on their behalf. I gave them voice and teleprompter training and wrapped them in a half-hour show that was presented by the local anchor at the TV stations where they were broadcast. The shows ran a combined ten years. The videos on this page are examples of reports I wrote and the doctors presented.
The programs helped TV stations strengthen the credibility of their health-anchors. The physician specialists benefited from the wide exposure of their practices. The drug and device companies benefited by bringing public attention to the diseases they support.
